WHY SECONDS SALE

Woodland Camo M81—this was my first uniform in the Army. I love this pattern. We decided to do a Heritage version of it, but what we have here is a batch of "Seconds."

We don't have very many of them, but here's what happened: when you dye the Heritage fabric, it starts out as greige—which is essentially a raw, white fabric. The fabric is supposed to be dyed all the way through so that both sides match.

With this specific batch, that didn't happen. The interior fabric didn't dye all the way through, meaning it stayed white on the inside. Because of that, this batch classifies as a Seconds. Everything else on the pack is completely awesome—you still get the full-grain leather handles and all the premium features you'd expect from a Heritage pack.

If you look really closely at certain spots where the pack is sewn together, you can see a little bit of that white underside peeking through. Now, there are definitely ways to treat that if it bothers you so that it isn't white. One of the best ways to do that is just sweat, travel, and the natural dirt from all of your adventures.

"Finally procured a GR1. While it's not a Rucker, it's pretty danged close. Ruckers are definitely purpose-built for rucking, this GR1 does it well and allows better packing of essentials. I like the inside molle, and the hidden pocket under the handle is a plus. A bladder can be used, but there isn't a hose port, but that's okay. Been using this for my morning mail-check rucks. It will also come in handy for traveling. I like the laptop pocket, it fits my 20# laptop just fine, haven't tried my 30# laptop yet, but it appears to have enough room for the 30 pounder."

"GORUCK crushed it as usual. This new edition of the waxed canvas bag has small little touches like the American flag on the inside and the blaze orange liner on the small handle pocket when you're trying to find something quick. Obviously tough as nails but not ostensibly military looking from the outside. Blends in well to job sites and camp sites."

Perfect Backpack (for me)

"I really needed a new backpack as the one my work issued me was just too. . . excessive. It was in the mid 40L range and was just cheap, heavy, and not what I wanted out of my backpack. After a week long binge reading reviews, I had narrowed my potential purchase down to two bags. . . and then I saw the rest of the items that GoRuck offered (besides being American made) and I pulled the trigger. GR1 Heritage 26L- D-Day edition

"You know that piece of gear that makes you grin every time you grab it? That's my GR1 Heritage. The price tag is heavy. I get it. But no typical offshore option is even on the same planet as the Hertiage. I am a craftsmanship snob. Picky is putting it lightly. The material, fit and constructed finish on this sack is incredible. I mean not even a loose thread or misaligned stich anywhere. The interior is as rugged as the outside. This is my daily laptop and my travel sack. Perfect size for multi day trips and plane rides. Great carry on size and you can just feel the sack envy walking up to the terminal. Thanks GoRuck for sticking to your standards for function, quality and USA made! Amazing quality, the canvas is a lot heavier than I thought

"Bag is great. Lives up to the hype. Feels very sturdy and is a lot heavier than I thought! Don't worry, the canvas is not too thin! Size is good, if you are tossing up, just get the 26L, it's not too big. Bag is less comfy on the back when it's empty due to the solid build and frame sheet, but it's built to be loaded up."
