January // Engineer
Happy New Year and welcome to 2026! Our theme this year is "Full STEAM ahead." We are focusing all of our monthly themes on Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math because these topics are so important for our children to explore; being strong in these subjects helps prepare our kids for life!
Our January theme is ENGINEER. Humans are not the only species that engineer; animals and plants build and construct all sorts of things too! Kids can learn a thing or two about STEAM from nature if they look closely. Get outside, slow down, and enjoy!

February // Design
Our February theme is DESIGN. Designing anything stimulates the mind beyond what is obvious. Not only are kids creating something, they are using all sorts of skills when transferring what is in their head to a thing that exists in the world. Whether it is a physical or an artistic creation, kids are exercising both their minds and bodies. Designing and creating tests fine and gross motor skills, nurtures curiosity, grows the ability to innovate, and gives voice to inner thoughts. Get going on a project you've been thinking about and design away!

March // Experiment
Our March theme is EXPERIMENT. This month is all about trying, testing, observing, and learning. When we experiment, we discover new things about ourselves and our world. Mistakes? They're just information! Scientists and inventors use experiments to learn what works and what doesn't. Encouraging our kids explore freely and celebrate their discoveries helps them understand innovation. When a child envisions something and isn't able to make it come to fruition, that's ok too! Keep on pushing your children to problem solve through those moments and the lessons they will learn will stick around long after the frustration fades!

April // Discover
Our April theme in DISCOVER. Spring is the perfect time for discovery! New plants, new animals, new weather, and new colors appear all around us. Discovery begins with curiosity — asking questions, exploring places, and noticing details. This month, we're inviting kids to slow down, look closely, and discover something new to do outside. By spending more time outside and playing, children can marvel at what their environment has to offer them. So many adventures await; head outside and discover them!

May // Measure
Our theme for May is MEASURE. Math is everywhere! We measure height, time, weight, distance, sound, and even shadows. Measurement helps us understand the world and see how things change. This month, kids will learn that numbers tell stories — and measuring helps us solve problems. By spending time measuring different things in a multitude of ways, kids can make sense of the world. Have fun and help your kids measure the world around them!

June // Invent
Our theme for June is INVENT. For kids, inventing things is easy because they are not limited by the known world (they don't feel like they "know it all" yet!). Invention and creativity are inherently linked; children who sit and ponder life, problems, or the unknown tend to have a more creative imagination. Allowing children space to think for themselves without adult, or tech, assistance will strengthen their brain by contributing to its plasticity (flexibility and ability to learn new things). Encourage an inventive and open mind; you never know what kids will come up with!
