INSPIRED BY AIRBORNE JUMP BOOTS FOR THE RUGGED INDIVIDUAL

The MACV-1 Travelers are boots inspired by classic airborne jump boots and are ready for you all day at any time. We took the platform of our tried and true MACV-1 and dressed it up with Challenge Leather, different sewing structure on the exterior, and a suede garment leather interior so they can be worn from the office directly to the bar for a beer or out on a ruck. But even though they look fancy, they still have all of the durability you would expect from MACV-1: wide toe box, 13mm ideal rucking offset, and lightweight.

Features

All-Terrain Outsole
Dual compound rubber outsole delivers versatile performance in any environment, including improved traction on wet and muddy terrain. The forefoot rubber is formulated for increased grip while the heel area is formulated for abrasion resistance and increased durability. The outsole also wraps up at the toes for understated protection against aggressive terrain or when doing push-ups.

Wide Toe Box
Generous forefoot area lets your toes breathe. Over time and distance during any activity including rucking or traveling, your feet will swell. This extra space reduces the friction that can occur if your feet rub against the insides of your boot.

3mm Speed Laces
Speed laces are 3mm as opposed to standard 5mm. Debris and mud doesn't collect on the 3mm laces like it does on the 5mm, the 3mm rinse off and dry faster, and they're faster to tie because there's less bulk.

Rucking Offset
The ideal heel-to-toe drop for rucking. A 13mm offset reduces the strain on your achilles (and by proxy your ankle, knees, and hips) and helps to accommodate a natural gait in an unnatural world of asphalt and man-made surfaces.

Lightweight EVA Midsole
The relationship between the EVA midsole and the rubber outer sole matters greatly to the performance of the boot - and the combined weight is a major factor in whether you want to wear them or not.

Premium Suede Molded Heel Counter
Wraps a supportive, injection molded plastic heel counter. This combo stabilizes your heel as the suede leather prevents the kind of friction that causes hotspots and blisters.

No Spacer Mesh
Spacer mesh is soft, squishy, and feels comfortable to your hand when you touch it. But it’s a trap, literally. The first time spacer mesh looks at any kind of water, your boots get heavier and they stay that way. So we proudly do not use spacer mesh, end of story.

Custom Compression Insert
Our custom insert uses a dense compression foam system that supports your entire foot from heel to toe - including contoured arch support - throughout the duration of your foot strike.

Molded Toe Cap
The molded toe cap ensures that the toe of your boot keeps its shape.

No Break-In Time
They're ready when you are, right out of the box.

Rear Finger Loop
Added a finger loop to the rear of the boot so you can easily pull your Travelers on and off.

Equal parts excitement and disappointment

"Overall quality of materials and construction seem good. Tread thickness is very thin. We'll see how quickly they wear. According to the website recommendations, I should order my regular size. I wear a 12. Received boots about a week after ordering. Size 12 was too small. Specifically the toebox. Order a size up. Returned for a 13. Perfect fit!"

Duty Boot

"Picked up a pair to wear on duty (LEO). Tow cap shines up nicely with patience. Overall a solid and comfortable boot for all day wear and being on your feet. My only nit pick is I'll probably cut the rear pull loops, I hate when they catch the hem if my pants."

Best Quality

""I came across GoRuck products a few months ago. Since then, I’ve been a fan of GoRuck. The exceptionally high quality of the products, but also GoRuck's 'message' really appeal to me: Sports aren't just clean and sterile. It’s also about sweat, rain, heat, dirt, and pain. No pain, no gain. GoRuck also honors those who protect their homeland with their lives, drawing inspiration from military training methods and virtues. I bought the GoRuck MACV Traveller and I am extremely satisfied with the craftsmanship. Unfortunately, I have a high instep. Because of that, I had to swap out the original insoles for thinner ones. Now, this shoe fits like a glove. ""

I wore them for the

"I wore them for the first time on the 19 of June for my cousin's wedding that I officiated her wedding. I got alot of complements about them I did get the toe's and heels to a spit shine. Me being a 12 yr vet of the U. S. M. C I know how to do this and the other Jar Heads notice them and the few other retired branches we had the wedding did to. Mike Kerwin"

Great addition to the shoe roster.

"Love them! Comfortable. Good support for working or exercising on your feet. Just dressy enough to pass muster for a night out. Bought a pair for my son as well."

Jared M. (5/5)

Jack of all trades and master of all

"These boots are super-comfortable and robust. They have a professional appearance without compromising on what you can do with them, whether hiking or training or running. I’ve have another pair of GoRuck boots that are also amazing after seven years, and I have no doubt these will last a very long time, making them an outstanding purchase."

Holding up nicely to daily

"Holding up nicely to daily walks and rucks. Also been using it as an everyday boot and while lifting. The support to care of some planter fasciitis my running shoes were giving me."

Evan M. (5/5)
