Introducing the new MACV-2™ Safety Boot, which takes inspiration from our Special Forces MACV series with some added features: a composite toe, a Dyneema puncture-resistant sole, an extra padded perforated foam upper for all-day comfort. They are ASTM-certified and built for those who live hard on their feet and work even harder. Tested and proven by Special Forces, firefighters, welders, and more. The MACV-2™ Safety Boot gives you all the comfort, durability, and protection you need in the harshest work environments and the high quality you’d expect from our footwear.
Features
ASTM APPROVED AND CERTIFIED The MACV-2 Safety Boot was built to help you work in any environment. We’ve put our boots to the test and they officially meet ASTM F2412 / F2413 requirements for Impact (I), Compression (C), Electrical Hazard Resistance (EH), and Puncture Resistance (PR).
COMPOSITE TOE The Safety Boot’s composite toe is built to provide you with both, impact and compression protection. It provides the same protection as a steel toe, but with additional benefits such as being lighter and not conducting heat, cold, or electricity.
DYNEEMA PUNCTURE-RESISTANT SOLE We built a Dyneema lined sole to ensure the Safety Boot is puncture-resistant, aka nail-proof.
PERFORATED FOAM PADDED UPPER The upper is constructed from Specs + Materials that improve with time, enhanced by additional padding. This will give you all-day comfort while staying lightweight, breathable, and will protect you against minor hits and scuffs.
AGGRESSIVE TRIPLE COMPOUND OUTSOLE Each section of the triple compound rubber outsole is designed to perform a specific function. The forefoot rubber is formulated for increased grip with a deep tread specifically shaped to grab the ground while shedding mud and debris. It wraps around the toes for additional protection against rocky terrain or when doing push-ups. The midfoot is formulated from a rock climbing compound and hardened for exceptional abrasion resistance — ideal for fast roping. The heel is denser and formulated for extreme durability with an expanded heel strike area that won't break down over time or distance.
RUGGED MIDSOLE The new Safety Boot is built with the MACV-2™ midsole. The design wraps around the entire upper providing significantly more stability and maximum support. Support you need for your feet so they’re not smoked after being on your feet all day, regardless of what you’re doing. Support is foundational to the Safety Boots — great for those who demand a lot of their feet. The relationship between the EVA midsole and the rubber outsole matters greatly to the performance of the boot.
NO BREAK-IN TIME They're ready when you are, right out of the box.
WIDE TOE BOX Generous forefoot area lets your toes breathe. Over time and distance during any activity including rucking or traveling, your feet will swell. This extra space reduces the friction that can occur if your feet rub against the insides of your boot.
13MM HEEL-TO-TOE DROP The ideal heel-to-toe drop for walking around and working on your feet all day. A 13mm offset reduces the strain on your achilles (and by proxy your ankle, knees, and hips) and helps to accommodate a natural gait in an unnatural world of asphalt and man-made surfaces.
PROUDLY NOT WATERPROOF If rain, sweat, or streams, get in a waterproof boot there is nowhere for it to go. They keep sand and debris out and repel moisture with every step. They expel water with old-fashioned technology that just works - with every step, you push the water out the side of the boot.
PREMIUM UPPER Specs + Materials Hard-wearing suede that only gets better with time and use. Paired with 1000D CORDURA® and 2" nylon webbing for added ankle support - debris and rain are kept out while your feet can still breathe.
ANKLE SUPPORT Suitable for airborne operations they maintain stability and support on uneven ground. Here's how this works. The 2" webbing is sewn into the heel counter. When you lace your boots up with your ankle locked into the heel, the heel counter and the 2" webbing do not pull forward - this is by design. But as you tighten them, this process locks your heel down and shifts the freedom of flex to the forefoot. Which is where it should be.
SUEDE + INJECTION MOLDED HEEL COUNTER Premium suede wraps a supportive, injection molded plastic heel counter. This combo stabilizes your heel, while the suede prevents the friction that leads to hotspots and blisters.
6MM LACES We built the Safety Boot with 6MM laces. They are the best suited for a work boot like this. They look and feel sturdy to match the durability of the boot.
DUAL-DENSITY INSERT Our custom insert uses a dual-layered compression foam system that supports your entire foot from heel to toe - including contoured arch support for all 3 of your arches- throughout your entire foot strike.
Care Instructions: Remove insert. Hose them down thoroughly and let air dry (won't take long). Do not use washer/dryer - it's easier this way. Polish for bar ops and long-term care.

I keep buying even with the issues
"I’ve had multiple pairs of the work boots and the ballistic trainers, and even though the soles start coming off the shoes and boots, and the insoles fall apart within no time of wearing them, the comfort and support is so good that I will continue to buy them. They just need to up the quality control in my experience with them. If I can buy new insoles that would be pretty cool."

Not for slippery floors
"These boots are comfortable right out of the box, are super light weight, and easy to maintain. They do not work so well on a wet production brewery floor where various solvents and chemicals have made the ground slick. Previously my other work boots have had an oil resistant layer to prevent slipping. Unfortunately with these boots each step is like being on an ice rink. But for other work environments they would be a great choice."

Solid, Lightweight work boots
"By far one of the most comfortable pair of Safety Rated work Boots I have now. It took some breaking in for the first couple of days and swapping out the insoles for my wide feet to make these work. The composite toe is roomy enough for my wide foot. The soles provide a solid and protective platform to stand on ladders, avoid hazards on a job site while remaining flexible enough to walk a mile or so."

Great Safety Boot!
"Incredible Safety Boot for work and even travel! I will be wearing these on the next airline trip I will take for work when I need safety footwear at the location. These boots are so comfortable that I can just wear them for travel vs. carrying them in a bag. Daily usage is great, and they require very little break-in time for your foot to find the comfort level and stretch that leather boots always have."

Too hot. Well made. Comfy only when it's cold.
"After getting a pair of of standard MACVs and loving them, I thought I'd replace my hot, unbreathable, uncomfortable safety boots with these. I did not realize that they are lined, unlike the normal MACVs. This makes them hot and unbreathable. They are very comfortable as long as the the ambient temp is below freezing, but I am disappointed. I guess I missed some fine print. I am keeping them because they are an improvement over what I had. I am also trying to remove the lining, which is not easy because the boots are well made. Like ridiculously well made. . . the lining does not come out easily at all. If Goruck ever makes a safety boot that is a cool and breathable as the unlined MACV, I will be all over it."
